The wait is finally over
Following on from a campaign that showed both phenomenally promising points alongside providing exasperating moments of frustration, Cuda have used the offseason to recuperate, regroup and rally prior to the commencement of the new season. Whilst we push on and work into preseason, dusting off the cobwebs, we are now able to share aglimpse into our forthcoming schedule with the BUCS 2022/23 fixture list now released.
We open our season hosting a fresh face in the South-West Division 1, the recently
relegated Swansea Titans, a tough fixture in which we will seek to reverse the result of our summer friendly.
Next up the Stags journey from Southampton to Coombe Dingle, an opportunity for us to go hunting for points if we can repeat the exceptional performance that we achieved last year.
Subsequently, we face our first away day of the academic year, travelling down to compete against Exeter Demons hoping to build on encouraging performance and narrow loss in our previous contest that ultimately cost us a spot in the playoffs.
A familiar opponent follows this, with Cuda playing host to Bournemouth Bobcats, who we have not had the pleasure of playing since this fixture led to our promotion to Division 1.
The Dingle fortress remains busy, accommodating the return leg of our clash with Exeter Demons as Cuda will be anticipating heading into our winter break with a win. Our campaign resumes in January with the first of a triple helping on the road being a visit to re-encounter Southampton Stags, which should proceed the traditional pilgrimage to the Membury services KFC.
Another visit to the south coast will ensue, this time with Bournemouth in the sights for our penultimate game.
We round off our regular season in the same manner we started it, clashing with the Titans
in the return fixture in Southern Wales before heading into whatever the post season holds!
